Island photos are nice, but they don’t quite do it justice! The quaint little town of Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island in Southwest Florida is such a unique and special destination . . . it’s best to come and see for yourself!
Boca Grande is home to two beautiful lighthouses, the Range Lighthouse and the Historical Lighthouse at Gasparilla Island State Park (pictured below). The state park lighthouse contains a museum with history of Boca Grande and a lovely gift shop.
There are a number of churches on the island, each making a beautiful picture and place for locals and visitors to come together.
Island Photos – Town
The town of Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island is full of charm without sacrificing modern day conveniences. The buildings exude plenty of small town charm and old Florida style! Within the many shops in town, visitors will find supplies and necessities along with souvenirs and household items. There are several dress shops where shoppers can find clothing and shoes, jewelry, hats, and more.
Travel the Island
Bicycles and golf carts are two of the main modes of transportation on the island. There are bike and walking trails which run the length of the island, created from the old railroad tracks. Most locals own their own golf cart, and there are rentals available for those visiting.
